It’s coming up to the time of year when we start dusting off the yurts, that have been in storage over the winter and getting everything ready for the new holiday season. With an early Easter this year the yurt doors will be opening on the 26th March.
Last year turned out to be one of our best so far with bookings up and 2018 is already looking like it’s going to be even better. All the bank holiday weekends have already filled up and the school holidays are booking up quickly.
This winter has been a busy time for us, with a lot going on. We haven’t been able to do as much on the yurt site as we had planned, due to a few delays with the renovation of the pavilion. But anyone who has done any renovation work on their own home, knows there are always extra unforeseen jobs lurking under the plaster or floor boards. The electricians and plumbers are almost finished and we are ready to start on the interior. We are hoping that we will be welcoming our first guests in April. The weather has been spectacular with the snow just before Christmas and the valley was coated in a thick blanket of the white stuff. It was really nice to be snowed in for a few days even with a bad case of the flu (no sledging for me unfortunately). As I was wrapped up in front of the fire in my duvet keeping warm, it was left to others to get some pictures on their phones.
