What to bring on a yurt holiday

Well... you won't need a camping stove, a ground sheet, a folding table and all that malarkey... that's for sure!

Most people who come on their first yurt holiday at Hidden Valley Yurts bring far too much kit and most of it stays in the car! Remember this is luxury camping and although that doesn't mean we have a jacuzzi and a gym we do supply what we think you will need to ensure you have a really coo, eco-friendly, posh(ish) camping holiday.

What's included in the price:

Fire building bits and pieces for the log fire, BBQs and chimeneas including; paper, sticks and wood. Your logs will be in the yurt and the wood store on your deck. Any extra logs are chargeable, as are the recycled logs - a bag of which is in your wood store (payment for this via the honesty box, please).

Each yurt has a barbeque and we supply charcoal made by the Gwent Wildlife Trust (but we do request a contribution into the honesty box for this).

Your yurt has tea light lanterns and rechargeable lanterns, a wind up/solar lantern and a wind up radio!

There is a separate shower and a bath/shower; two flushing loos and hand basins. Our water is heated by solar panels and topped up with an immersion heater. Drainage is into a reed bed. Yurt 1 and Yurt 6 have composting loos.

For extra snuggle factor we provide throws, rugs, ponchos, and cushions and there are hammocks, loungers and tables and chairs dotted around the campsite.

We have a well stocked games cupboard with lots of board games, lego, Duplo, farmyard toys, books, paints, paper and brushes and plenty of outdoor games like badminton, cricket, croquet, etc. All we ask is that parents supervise their children and return games to the cupboard and let us know if there are missing bits!

Our drinking and bathing water is from a spring so you will be drinking, washing and even flushing the loo with 100% pure Welsh spring water. Why not find a bottle and take some home?
