Strawberry Skys yurt campsite near Welshpool is open all year, and may have availability outside these dates.

We have a total of 5 yurts - 3 sleeping 6/7 people, and 2 sleeping 5 people.

We offer either 3 night weekend breaks or 4 night midweek breaks - you can add two or more breaks together to book a week or more and can arrive on either a Monday or a Friday. The price is per yurt (not per person) and includes sufficient stove and campfire wood for normal usage but does not include bedding (except pillows) or towels. 

Sorry, but we cannot accommodate touring tents, caravans or mobile homes.

Standard Rate (all other dates)

5 person yurt - £285 per yurt per midweek or weekend break.
6-7 person yurt - £320 per yurt per midweek or weekend break.

Home Educators midweek breaks - for a trial period we are offering home educators the chance to book the following midweek breaks ahead of other guests: 19-23 April, 10-14 May, 7-11 June and 4-9 July.

Arrival and departure times

3 night Weekend breaks – Arrival after 3.00 pm Fri – vacate yurt by 11.00 am Mon
4 night Mid Week breaks – Arrival after 3.00pm Mon – vacate yurt by 11.00am Fri

Please note there is no vehicular access to the yurt field which is a 5 minute walk from the car park and involves either crossing a bridge or the ford – we will take your luggage down for you in our 4 x 4 buggy up to 7.00pm – after that we supply wheelbarrows for you to transport your luggage.  If this is your first visit, arrival before dark is a must in order to find your yurt!   Please see our arrival details page.

Cots, high chairs, etc.

There is a high chair in each kitchen and we have cots available. Please let us know when you book if you would like these. All the yurts have fireguards surrounding the stoves.

Pets

We regret that we cannot accomodate pets (except service dogs). Sorry, but we cannot make any exceptions to this rule. Black Mountains Yurts, a new site near Brecon with 3 yurts supplied by us, allows well behaved pets.

Group Bookings

We are happy to let the campsite to groups, but we charge a damage/excess cleaning deposit of £100, which will be refunded by cheque within 7 days of the end of your holiday. (see Terms & Conditions)

We welcome acoustic musical instruments being played but we do not allow amplified music so please leave your speakers and karaoke machines at home! Although the yurt field appears to be in the middle of nowhere, sound travels a long way in the country and we do have neighbours.

We do not refuse single sex groups or hen/stag parties but we are very definitely only for those who are seeking a rural get away from it all holiday - not a mini rave.

How to Book

Please ring or e.mail to check availability and make a booking – we require a 25% deposit to reserve your holiday – you can either pay by debit/credit card or post us a cheque.  We will hold the reservation for 3 days whilst awaiting your cheque, but reserve the right to sell this holiday without further notice after this period.  The balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday date.
